How to create Custom url Permalink in Wordpress

Every post you create gets an id and the link is shown with that id. But it looks very bad if you blog more and even it is hard to remember the numbers for every post id.

So to make it look better url to remember and also for bookmarking and SEO purpose, you need to change the Permalink Settings .

To change the Permalink Settings to Custom / Friendly url :

1. Go to your wordpress admin panel ( /wp-admin)
2. On left side bar , look for Settings -> Permalinks

Choose Custom Structure and on the right text box , paste the following line
/%category%/%postname%/

Click Save Changes

Done.
